It is said in Inverurie that of all the Highland Cattle that passed along the old drove roads the most famous was the Highland bull known as 'Black Jock', so called because of his distinctive coat of long black hair, rare in Highland cattle who are more usually red in colour. Black Jock was a gentle giant who loved to graze with the new seasons calves. Like our namesake, the Formidable Jock Scotch Whisky is known for its rare blend of strength and smooth character.
